ruby slipper.
In the fall of 2016, I embarked on a creative journey inspired by the Wizard of Oz, resulting in the design and machining of a fully-functioning stainless steel bottle opener.
To bring the design to life, I employed precision machining techniques, shaping and refining the stainless steel material to ensure both form and function met my exacting standards. The result was a durable and reliable bottle opener capable of effortlessly popping open any beverage with ease.
To add a touch of vibrant color reminiscent of Dorothy's ruby slippers, I opted for a post-process powder coating in bold red, lending the bottle opener a striking visual appeal that pays homage to the timeless charm of the Wizard of Oz.
This project serves as a testament to my passion for blending creativity with craftsmanship, transforming inspiration from literature into a tangible and functional work of art.
